Hello! My name is Maria Lucking, and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in the state of Ohio. I am passionate about helping adults navigate life's challenges. I specialize in supporting clients through issues related to emotional well-being, relationships, identity, and personal growth. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem and self-worth, perinatal and postpartum mental health, anger management, health and wellness, relationship concerns, parenting, and life transitions, grief, career changes, and the ending or beginning of important relationships.

I believe in a collaborative, client-centered approach, tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs, strengths, and goals of each individual. Together, we will build self-awareness, develop effective coping strategies, and create lasting change. I integrate compassionate, evidence-based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed approaches, IFS interventions with practical, down-to-earth explanations that help clients better understand themselves and feel empowered throughout the therapeutic process.

In addition to traditional psychotherapy, I have completed extensive specialized training in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and incorporate this knowledge into my work through preparation, integration, and education for individuals exploring these treatments. My approach emphasizes safety, intention, and helping clients translate meaningful experiences into lasting personal growth.

I offer individual counseling services in person and virtually on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
